Meet Our Genealogist

Meet Pauletta Butler, a self-taught genealogist deeply passionate about unraveling the ancestral stories of people of color.
Guided by her mother's sister Eloise at age 12, Pauletta immersed herself in the rich oral narratives of her family, particularly captivated by the tales of her father's maternal grandfather's side of the family.
Driven by a desire to uncover hidden histories marginalized by slavery and colonialism, Pauletta focuses on tracing lineages of all people, especially for the adopted, fatherless, and people of color.
Recognizing the profound loss of connection to roots, she dedicates herself to bridging this gap. Pauletta spends endless hours sifting through historical records, analyzing DNA samples, and collaborating with experts, providing countless individuals with the invaluable gift of reclaiming their heritage.
Her expertise and unwavering commitment have earned her immense respect in the genealogy community, where she also supports fellow enthusiasts in overcoming ancestral barriers.
